BETTER-TMD Researchers to Highlight Craniofacial Regeneration and TMD Research at AADOCR 2027
Join Jian-Fu (Jeff) Chen, PhD, principal investigator of USC’s BETTER-TMD team at two symposia at the 2027 American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) Annual Meeting, highlighting emerging discoveries in craniofacial regeneration, pain and temporomandibular disorders. Dr. Chen is the organizer and chair of the symposium, “Neurovascular-Immune Niches in Craniofacial Regeneration and Pain.” The session will examine how interactions among nerves, blood vessels, lymphatics, immune cells and tissue-resident stem cells influence craniofacial development, healing and disease. Dr. Chen will present “Lymphatic-Immune Niches in TMJ Regeneration, Arthritis, and Pain.” A second symposium, “Launching the TMD IMPACT Collaborative,” will bring together principal investigators from the participating NIH-fund TMD IMPACT Collaborative U54 centers and U01 projects. The session will highlight its shared research goals and showcase how the teams are working together to advance the understanding, diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular disorders. Check back for more information on session dates and times.
