C-TMD IMPACT will revolutionize TMD patient care by enabling precision medicine to identify the best treatments for specific patients and validate new biomarkers and clinically adoptable tools for improved patient care.
What is C-TMD IMPACT?
Through an integrated series of collaborative activities funded through Stage I (NIDCR R34), we have assembled a comprehensive team of clinicians, investigators, research scientists, regulatory experts, and clinical trial specialists who have significant experience in building and operating resource centers to develop the Center for TMD IMproving PAtient-Centered Translational Research (C-TMD IMPACT). C-TMD IMPACT leverages the infrastructure, resource, and expertise from our highly successful NIH-funded resource centers, including the Center for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Tissue and Organ Regeneration (C-DOCTOR; NIDCR U24), the FaceBase Consortium Hub (NIDCR U24), the Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute (SC CTSI; NCATS UL1), which will collectively be put in service to support C-TMD IMPACT’s mission to improve TMD research and patient care.
